When I started with pigeonracing I had mainly the Janssen pigeons from Wegman and Offerman. The pigeons performed in an excellent way on the short distance up to 300 km's.Again, my father did me a favour and we paid a visit to Louis van Loon in Belgium. I was allowed to made my own pick from around 80 youngsters. I made my choice and travelled back home with  10 youngsters; 5 cocks and 5 hens. All these pigeons were descendants from the known "Blauwe van 84". Louis van Loon advised later on to use all these pigeons for cross breed because of the very near bloodlines of the youngsters. But what happened was that I paired-up the pigeons already at my loft at that moment. One of the pairs was a bull's eye; the pair "558" x "545" gave during the years 10 first prize winners against thousands of pigeons in the Amsterdam greater area.

This wonderpair gave 10 first prize winners in the region Amsterdam and Noord Holland.                 In 1997 I started to race the pigeons at the one day longdistance and I was looking for other pigeons which were suitable for the longer distances. I found this pigeons at the loft of the Comb.Verbree at Putten and many descendants of all their ace-pigeons moved to Amsterdam.

So, children from the "Ultra Koppel", the "97-5774230", the "Olympic Orlando" ( the best allround pigeon of the Netherlands in 2001) and the "97-2524534", "Olympic Zigo" ( sired "Toto", the 6th.best cock  of the Nethelands), and "Amora", 1st.St>Quentin 3479 p, 1st.Orleans 1929p.

More youngsters from this fantastic loft came to Amsterdam but the youngsters from the s.c. "Ultra" line were the best suitable birds to cross breed with the van Loon pigeons.

In 2005 I achieved fantastic results with the youngsters of  the purchased pigeons.
